'It was crazy': Residents wake to 'almighty bang' and sirens following 'serious' crash on main road
Residents have shared their disbelief after being awoken on Sunday morning to a five-vehicle crash outside their home which saw a person rushed to hospital.
“I then saw there were a few other cars involved too. A lot of ambulances were here right away and an air ambulance landed nearby. We could see one person was being treated by paramedics, I really hope everyone is okay." Other residents also raised concerns about speed measures on the road and mentioned how in July last year a young man was killed after a Range Rover smashed into a phone mast.
Another resident, who said they have also lived just off Hyde Road for a number of years, said they believed the road has become worse since it was widened in 2021.
