The Gherkin is letting customers pay it forward
A neighbourhood restaurant has extended its ‘pay what you feel’ policy in the wake of the continuing cost of living crisis. The Gherkin in Levenshulme will be running its menu tonight until 9pm.
The pay as you feel Monday night offer was set up a few months ago, coming in response to the refugee crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. However, the popular vegetarian restaurant and bar has now decided to extend it to people feeling the pinch of higher bills and rising costs in the shops.
