A restaurant which gained praise from critics has been hit with a shock hygiene rating. Queens Wine Bar and Bistro in Liverpool received a rating of zero stars, the lowest rating, following a visit from health inspectors.

Concerns were also raised with hygienic food handling at the restaurant. This was listed as having 'major improvements required', while the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building were described as being generally satisfactory.
