A retired Scottish police officer has been jailed for a three-year plot to share child sex abuse images with other cops
. Perthshire policeman Jack Addis, 63, conspired with fellow retired cop Jeremy Laxton, also 63, and serving officer Richard Watkinson, 49.
Firearms cop Addis, formerly of Dumfries but more recently of Blairgowrie, left the Met and joined the Civil Nuclear Constabulary, again as an armed officer. He was discovered the day he was due to answer bail to be charged with the conspiracy, as well as three counts of making indecent photos of a child, voyeurism and two counts of misconduct in public office.
He admitted committing that offence between December 1, 2019 and May 1, 2021. Mr Justice Wall jailed Laxton for five years and nine months for his crimes.
