Royal expert Angela Mollard says Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton attending Wimbledon together was a 'masterful PR exercise'. Mollard adds that the rivalry is 'most likely between Harry and William, not Meghan and Kate'.
However, the way in which rumours of royal rift have been swirling about Kate and Meghan, most recently with the splitting of the Royal Foundation, points toward a key difference between the two sets of royal women.Royal Biographer Ingrid Seward, in her 1991 biography, “Sarah: HRH The Duchess of York”, revealed how Fergie and Princes Diana were key supports for each other.
