Pope Francis' security is led by Vice Commander Luca Cintia, and they use varying methods to ensure terror attacks never reach the Vatican on sacred occasions, such as Palm Sunday during Easter. Speaking to the BBC in 2019 documentary 'Inside the Vatican', he said:"We are living in a time where terrorism, especially international terrorism, is growing."It is undeniable that the Pope can be a target as is the Vatican."Our work is focused on prevention.
