Thousands packed into T-Mobile Park in Seattle to see Chris Stapleton ’s All-American Road Show tour on Saturday, July 28, 2024. Stapleton was joined by special guests Country Music Hall of Famer Willie Nelson and 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Sheryl Crow .
The show in Seattle was especially notable because special guests Nelson and Crow are two artists Stapleton hasn’t shared the stage with in a while. The 91-year-old Nelson can’t sing like he used to, but his breathy and fragile voice entertained a starstruck audience. The band immediately launched into “White Horse,” the main single from Stapleton’s fifth studio album “Higher.” The song was a perfect starter, oozing with life.
During Stapleton's time on stage, the enraptured crowd felt even more engaged. Most people stood the whole time Stapleton performed, and there was more dancing and swaying. It’s easy to fall for his unique vocal flair, but Stapleton is also a fantastic guitarist. During his performance, he seemingly used a different guitar for each song.
