sometimes humorously. When a telegram arrives saying Thunder is on his way, it turns out he put it in the mailbox himself. He then enters in a bright red suit and is mocked for his attire. Later, Glory dresses to the nines for her crossroads-set contest against Thunder and takes a ribbing herself. By this time, everyone in the room knows the musical is headed for a happy ending or two.
