After a Tuesday spent watching snowflakes dance outside of the office window, I hardly expected to walk out to a bright spring evening.It was the perfect spring evening to tuck into the cuisine of a warmer climate, inside, where we could pretend that the mercury in Glasgow was 20 degrees higher.
We were invited to the modern eatery to test out its offering as the team gets ready to launch an updated menu later next month.Inside, we are greeted by friendly members of staff who let us take our pick of the tables.To start, we're offered still or sparkling water. They have one of those fancy Purezza taps so sparkling it is.
Next up, it's two massive mezze platters loaded with breads, a selection of dips, olives, Lebanese fried chicken, oxtail croquettes, whipped feta with pickled watermelon, and smoked mackerel rillette. After taking down enough starters to feed an army of hungry 9-5ers, we settled on the Marrakesh vegetable curry and the 48-hour braised beef short rib.It was one of the better curries that I've had in the city: seasoned and cooked well, rich and complex.
