The planned homes take inspiration from a former pump house on the site.
The 107 homes would form the first phase of the development of the siteShropshire councillors rejected an earlier proposal for the site in Coalbrookdale in December 2023, ruling that it "failed to capture an identity or sense of place that is relevant to the site and its history”.
They now include a "tree-lined corridor" and the houses take inspiration from a 1930s-era pump house on the site.and outline planning approval for the site was granted in 2021.
