Preston City Council local elections 2024 candidates list set outPreston PoliceCouncillors, at a licensing review meeting during Tuesday 16 April, heard about ‘poor management of the premises’ and ‘non-compliance of conditions of the premises licence’.
PC Ste Connolly from Police Licensing said: “We welcome the decision of the licensing sub-committee, which was necessary to address the issues at the premises and we hope that this will send out a strong message to shopkeepers and licensees that irresponsibly sell alcohol to those who are underage. If the shop ignores the new conditions then the police and city council could prosecute under the Licensing Act which could see an unlimited fine and/or six months imprisonment along with alcohol products being seized.Sign up below to receive Blog Preston's email newsletter.
