The Costa Family Office is the majority investor in a 909ha site near Murray Bridge that will be developed into a $6 billion project with almost 10,000 homes.
on plans to build nearly 10,000 housing lots as part of new $7.5 billion master-planned mini-city about an hour’s drive from Adelaide.
The site, just to the south of Murray Bridge, is home to the relocated $110 million Murray Bridge Racing Club, which opened in 2019.The entire Gifford Hill precinct is expected to deliver over 17,000 dwellings and be home to 44,000 people once completed over the next 30–40 years. There are also plans for a new town centre, a mixed-use high street, six neighbourhood activity centres and seven schools.
The vendor was Gifford Hill Custodian, a company tied to local developer Burke Urban, winemakers the Wicks family, former AFL star Mark Ricciuto and pub operator Hurley Hotels. However, with a median house price of $419,000, it remains an affordable market within an hour of Adelaide. Adelaide’s median house price currently sits at $777,000, according to the latest CoreLogic report.
