Richard Gere, 73, hospitalised with pneumonia while on Mexico trip for wife's birthday
Hollywood actor Richard Gere has been rushed into hospital in Mexico after falling ill and developing pneumonia while on holiday for his wife Alejandra Silva’s birthday.
The outlet have revealed that Richard developed a "bad cough" before his trip, and that it worsened during his time abroad, causing him to seek treatment in hospital. She captioned the snap: "Thank you all for the birthday wishes.. after almost 3 weeks of everyone being sick in our family today finally I feel much better! Thank you for all the love [red heart emoji] I give it all back to you! #happybirthday #happy40".
