Holly Willoughby quit as This Morning host after 14 years, following a tough year, and former show presenter Richard Madeley has praised her for being 'brave' and 'courageous'
Richard Madeley has praised 'brave' Holly Willoughby after she quit This Morning after 14 years on Tuesday, October 10, but he insisted 'she'll be back'.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, Wednesday 11 October, Richard, 67, who previously hosted This Morning with his wife Judy Finnegan, 75, from its inception in 1998 until 2001, praised Holly for her 'brave' decision to leave the show. He went on: "Now people watching don't know that, they just see Holly the professional, but she does put it first.
"Given that she's done the show for 14 years, which is a year longer than Judy and I did it when we left, I think it's given her a chance to step back and take stock, and she's put her family first. She's going to focus on them for a while."
