Reality star Spencer Pratt and his wife, Heidi Montag, were other celebrities that lost their home, while stars such as Ben Affleck, James Woods and Eugene Levy faced mandatory evacuations. The Hairspray actress took to her main Instagram page to express that the 'loss is immeasurable' and described the Los Angeles wildfire as an 'apocalyptic event'
'I grief along with all of those suffering during this apocalyptic event. Praying for all of my neighbors, my friends, my community, the animals, the firefighters and first responders.' Ricki added, 'This description"dream home" doesn't suffice. It was our heaven on earth. The place where we planned to grow old together'
Ricki uploaded a photo of herself as she posed outside of her residence while holding a green plant in her hand. Lake held a big smile on her face while sitting next to the swimming pool at her home as her dog was propped up on her lap in an additional snap. Another picture was taken during the process of her Pacific Palisades home being built before moving in
Not long after Ricki shared the devastating news to Instagram, social media users and celebrities sent support and prayers towards the actress and her husband. 'No words my love.. I am devastated for you and Ross.. so much love and sharing.. so much happy.. happened in that space. Holding you in my heart that breaks for you,' another wrote.
Just one month earlier, Ricki's home had been threated by the Malibu wildfires that were caused by strong winds Oscar-nominated actor James Woods, who shared footage of a home two blocks from his property that was completely engulfed in flames, fled the Palisades with his family as the a fast-moving wildfire tore through.Woods also declared that he and many of his neighbors no longer have insurance after a 'major company' supposedly canceled many of the policies four months ago.
