Rickmansworth student gets into Cambridge with top grades.
A student at a Rickmansworth sixth form has got “great” grades and is off to a top university.
Eleanor Mayhew, a pupil from The Royal Masonic School for Girls has achieved three A*’s and is going to Cambridge to study Veterinary Medicine.The 18-year-old said: “I found the exams very tough as they were very different to the practice papers I had done but I am so proud of myself for achieving what I did.She was one of the students who were affected by Covid, and she noticed how hard it has been for her cohort.
Eleanor added: “It was tough being a student this year as we were the Covid GCSE year, but I am going to miss RMS, it was definitely the best years of my life so far.” She wasn’t going to apply for a place at Cambridge, but her teachers encouraged her and now she is attending on of the top university in the world.She said: “My teachers were incredible and super helpful when I was applying, they assisted me with UCAS and my interviews and everything.”
The Royal Masonic School for Girls, located in Rickmansworth Path is a private day and boarding school which offers places to girls from the age of 2 to 18.
