How StellaMcCartney sent animals down the runway, but not how you might think🤔🐊🐰
AW20 runway. Closing the show were giant Teletubby-esque furry animal mascots scattered amongst the other models, including cows, foxes, and a bunny, all accessorising with animal-friendly bags - amongst them the iconic Falabella chain bag, sported by the bright green crocodile. Zoological motifs also made an appearance in the angular metallic jewellery reminiscent of ancient hieroglyphs which came in the form of brooches, earrings and necklaces.
Swirling sequin embellishment gently mirrored the opulence of the beautifully gilded Palais Garnier where the show was staged, whilst low-waisted jumpsuits and draped silky tunic dresses introduced a relaxed glamour, along with the dark lumberjack prints and enveloping loosely oversized coats.As always, McCartney didn’t disappoint on creating a luxurious collection, completely leather, feather and fur free featuring recycled polyester, sustainable viscose and regenerated cashmere.
