Paul McCartney's final 'Got Back' tour show in London featured a surprise appearance by Ringo Starr, leading fans to call for a joint tour.
Paul McCartney's fans all had the same idea after he brought his 'Got Back' world tour to an end. Sir Paul , 82, has been on the road since October and played two nights at The O2 in London this week, culminating in Thursday's (December 19) show when he brought out Ronnie Wood and then Ringo Starr for the encore . Arriving on stage, Sir Ringo said: “I’ve had a great night tonight, it’s been a great show.
” The former Beatles then played 'Helter Skelter' and 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' together before the 84-year-old drummer from Dingle added: “I’m off now, I’ve had a great night and I love you all.' Fans were delighted to see the two play on stage together again. Following the gig Sir Paul sent a message to fans on social media, saying: 'Thank you, London! I haven’t played it in 50 years and what is more, here’s a special guest, a Rolling Stone: Ronnie Wood. And another surprise for you – the mighty, the one and only, Ringo Starr! See you next time!'
