Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken, which has been ranked among the nation's best biscuits, will open in Dallas in the spring.

Despite lines out the door on weekends, the restaurant closed shortly after opening, and its Austin location shuttered soon after that. But the brand is now making its Texas re-entry with a new name, and less emphasis on the doughnuts.
At Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken, which will open in Dallas in spring 2024, mobile orders are placed in heated lockers to streamline the takeout process.Buttermilk biscuits made fresh daily are the star of the show at Rise Southern Biscuits, but fried chicken is a close second. The company, which was started by the late chef Tom Ferguson in 2012 in Durham, N.C.
The Dallas restaurant will have some seating for dining in, but the “tech-forward” space is designed for quick service and easy pickup with heated food lockers designated for grab-and-go orders.Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken will open May 4, 2024 at 2414 Victory Park Lane, Dallas and will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. with dinner hours to be added at a later date. The Fort Worth location will open in summer 2024 at 7064 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth.
