Some departments and key individuals have insisted they are happy to comply with the disclosure requests made by the official inquiry into Covid HugoGye and janemerrick23 report

The Cabinet Office and 10 Downing Street are co-ordinating the Government’s response to the inquiry as a whole and are seeking to ensure that all departments take the same approach.

Energy Secretary, Grant Shapps, who was transport secretary throughout the pandemic, told TalkTV he would give the inquiry “whatever they want”, saying: “We have to let the inquiry get on with its job… There is nothing to be shy or embarrassed about, we simply did the best job under the circumstances.”
