Rishi Sunak says getting parents back to work is vital to tackle child poverty in Lancs
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said the best way to tackle child poverty in Lancashire is to get parents into work.
He replied: "I want to make sure that children are not growing up in poverty, it's heart-breaking, and we want to do everything we can to prevent that from happening. I'm really pleased that since 2010 the number of children that are growing up in poverty has fallen and the most impactful way we can stop that from happening is to ensure that their parents are working.
"If people are really struggling then they should talk to their council about that Household Support Fund.
