Allies of the PM are confident Rishi Sunak is successfully boosting his party's fortunes
amid mounting speculation about the possibility of an anti-Conservative pact with the Liberal Democrats and smaller left-of-centre parties.
He added: “I think we’ve made good progress in six months that I’ve had the job. I’ll just keep at it.” Pressed on whether he was ruling out a coalition with the DUP in the event of a hung Parliament, Mr Sunak replied: “I am. We are interested in delivering a Conservative majority at the next election. But what I’m more focused on is not worrying about the election, it’s delivering my five pledges.”as evidence that Mr Sunak is successfully boosting his party’s fortunes and claim the polls will continue to get closer as the months go by.
