Rishi Sunak’s plan to punish striking workers is about to backfire spectacularly 💬 via ipaperviews
It’s a matter of time before the move inflicts further damage and encourages more people from numerous sectors to resistI and many others have experienced a gradual whittling away of workplace and wider rights
The UK Government is hoping to introduce a new anti-strike law after months of industrial action by workers facing real-term pay cuts. Though this is meant to prevent disruption and ensure safety, it is likely to have the opposite effect. As a carer and support-giver to family and friends with high health and social care needs over many years, I have seen vital services whittled away, and fear that the crackdown on strikes will cause further damage.
