Rishi Sunak has won the backing of key former Boris Johnson allies, amid rumours the ex-Prime Minister is planning a dramatic return to No10.
“However, I am an even bigger fan of Margaret Thatcher, a formidable politician who did not duck difficult decisions, was extremely prudent and successfully carried out major reforms by winning the argument and taking the public with her. Chief Brexit negotiator Lord David Frost encouraged MPs not to support Mr Johnson, describing him as a “hero for delivering Brexit” but insisting that the party “must move on”.
