A road in Belle Vale has been closed in both directions and buses are being diverted following reports of a crash. Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance Service are at the scene. The crash has caused disruption to the 89 bus service.
Merseyside Police were called to Naylors Road in Belle Vale at 9.21pm on Tuesday, October 31, following reports of a crash. The North West Ambulance Service were also called to the scene.
A number of police vehicles are at the scene and Naylors Road has been blocked with cones in both directions near the junction of Linkfield Close.READ MORE: Seven pictures show one of Liverpool's worst pavement parking hotspots Following the crash Arriva posted an update on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to say their 89 service would be diverting from Naylors Road due to the ongoing police incident.
The update read: "Service 89 is currently diverting via Roby Road, Bowring Park, Chelwood Avenue, Childwall Valley Road in both directions due to a police incident on Naylors Road." A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said they were unable to confirm how serious the crash was at this time. Once more information is available this story will be updated.
