Residents are being asked to move any parked vehicles
A number of roads in Wellingborough are set to close to traffic for resurfacing work to be carried out.
Residents are being asked to move any vehicles parked on the road before 9.30am each day to ensure work can be carried out swiftly and with minimum disruption.Cllr Graham Lawman, the Council’s Executive Member for Highways, Travel and Assets, said: "As a regular user of this road, I know very well that it is in need of repair and that these works are essential, but, they can only be completed safely and efficiently with road closures in place.
“Throughout these works, we would encourage people to allow a little extra time for their journeys if they can and follow the signed diversion routes. Cllr Jason Smithers, Leader of the Council, added: "Although these works will mean short-term disruption for local residents and businesses, I hope that the long-term benefits will outweigh this disruption.
