Saintfield Road in Lisburn has been forced to close due to a road traffic collision
Police Service of Northern Ireland officers in Lisburn and Castlereagh have advised that . The incident was first reported at 12:10am on Sunday .
The stretch of road affected runs between the Temple roundabout and Comber Road crossroads. Police request that drivers avoid the area and seek alternative routes as a result. A tweet at 12.27am on Sunday Trafficwatch NI read: "Leaving Lisburn -The Saintfield Road, is currently closed due to an RTC. The road is closed between the Temple roundabout and Comber Road crossroads - Please avoid the area and find an alternative route."
An update at 1.04am on traffic monitoring service Inrix said: "Saintfield Road in both directions closed due to accident from B178 Comber Road to A24 Carryduff Road."For more stories from where you live, visit
