A road is currently closed following reports of a car crash. Emergency services surrounded Fir Tree Lane in Aughton this evening, Wednesday December 11. It is understood the incident happened at around 9.30pm. In a statement on Facebook , Lancashire Police confirmed the road closure: 'Please be advised that Fir Tree Lane, Aughton is currently closed due to a road traffic collision. 'We anticipate that the road will be closed for some time whilst we make sure the road is safe.
