Wife Lindsay explained why Rob decided to ditch plans to join Kevin for the final mile in the days leading up to the event
Rob Burrow has cancelled plans to join pal Kevin Sinfield for the final mile of the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon in the days leading up to the event.
Wife Lindsey explained the Leeds Rhinos legend, who was diagnosed with moto-neurone disease in 2019, would not be taking part this year due to the "heat and logistics" on Sunday, May 12.The original plan, sent out to the media, had been for Rob to join Kevin at the 25-mile mark outside Woodies Craft Ale House, on Otley Road. Instead, Rob will now join Kevin at the finishing line for a photo finish.
“It was Rob’s decision. Kevin and Rob had a conversation about potentially doing the last mile but I think Rob would prefer to just be on the finish line this year to see the runners coming in.
