Hundreds lined the streets to pay their respects to rugby league legend and MND campaigner
The funeral cortege passes through Featherstone town centre, West Yorkshire before the funeral for former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow.Former Leeds Rhinos star Rob Burrow was laid to rest as hundreds of mourners lined the streets to pay tribute to his bravery on the field and off it.
The rugby league legend and motor neurone disease campaigner died on June 2 aged just 41. He had spent years raising awareness of the disease and helped raised millions towards research. Fans lined the streets as the funeral cortege made its way to Pontefract Crematorium where a private service was held. The funeral cortege passed Featherstone Lions ground where Burrow first played rugby league as a young boy.Mourners said they had turned out to celebrate Rob Burrow's life and his achievements. Many wore rugby league shirts, with various teams represented.
