Col. Jaime Santos, city police chief, conducted an ocular inspection at the crime scene and found that the cellular phone of the victim, Jennifer Mendoza, 29, of Balagtas St., Tondo Manila, was missing.He said the victim was found dead seated at the passenger seat of a gray Mazda car with plate number ATA-9782 with a gunshot wound on the head.
Based on the investigation, the victim could have been killed early morning of Tuesday before she was discovered by street sweepers Olivia Olimberio,48, and Teresita Mejorada around 9:30 a.m. in front of Villar Sipag Complex on C5 Road in Barangay Zapote.He said the driver of the car could have alighted from the car before shooting the victim to death.
The city police chief said that upon verification with the Land Transportation Office , the car was registered under a certain Julius Pascual Guillermo of Kalamansi St., Maligaya, Caloocan City. Santos said coordination was immediately made with the Caloocan Sub-Station 10 and the team proceeded to the address of Guillermo.The city police chief said they are conducting a backtracking to determine where Mendoza was last seen.
