With the benefit of the TV replays, they clearly show it is Dominic Calvert-Lewin who kicks Dan Burn before the Everton striker theatrically throws himself to the ground, NOT Dan Burn kicking the Everton forward. Honestly, to be paid to give your ‘expert’ opinion and then still come out with that, when it couldn’t have been clearer to Robbie Savage that it wasn’t a penalty. Maybe this is the most powerful evidence yet that former players should NOT work as a VAR, or be any part of that process, because you just know we would end up with clowns such as Robbie Savage involved.
