Better Man was released on Boxing Day, and fans of the Rock DJ hitmaker have been flocking to cinemas in droves to see it, as the film chronicles the euphoric highs and cursing lows of Robbie’s career.
Indeed, Better Man has received rave reviews following its premiere, debuting with an astonishing 92% score on Rotten Tomatoes with reviews from 75 critics. Speaking previously, the film’s director, who also created The Greatest Showman, explained why it was key to have Robbie portrayed as a monkey. The filmmaker said that Robbie felt ‘like a monkey’ when he was ‘just dragged up to perform’ for thousands of people. ‘He literally sees himself as a performing monkey.
