Robbie Williams has called for kindness and empathy in a heartbreaking tribute to Liam Payne.
One Direction legend Payne, 31, died on Wednesday after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.He died of multiple traumas and "internal and external haemorrhage", a post-mortem examination report said.Williams acted as a mentor to One Direction during the band’s 2010 appearance on The X Factor.Heartbroken Williams expressed “shock, sadness and confusion” in an impassioned tribute to the late star.“They were all cheeky and lovely,” he wrote.
They said in a statement: "We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say."But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever."For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us."We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.
