Ayda Field has shared her belief working mums cop the rough end of the stick compared to working dads, and that she doubts her husband Robbie Williams feels ‘selfish’ when prioritising work commitments.

The model and actress, 43, has been married to singer Robbie, 48, since 2010 and they share children Theodora, 10, Charlton, eight, Colette, four, and Beau, three.

She said on the topic of balance: ‘It’s the same voice that goes in my head – you used the word “selfish”, that mummy has to be “selfish” to do her work. ‘And it’s interesting as women – that we feel like, and I don’t know if that’s because of what we’ve inherited culturally from our mothers and their mothers, and society, and what’s expected of us, but how we do feel guilty when we pursue something that’s ours, or it feels like it’s at the behest of our children, or that it’s wrong to want those things because it’s selfish – that judgment we put in place.

Speaking in a new interview, he shared the difficulties the two of them had experienced due to prejudice against the condition, as well as how he tried to help Teddy deal with it.
