NEW evidence suggests a valiant Army captain killed by the IRA in 1977 might be buried within a picturesque Irish forest
The Ravensdale Forest in the Irish Republic near the border with Northern Ireland is a stunning location. Heavily wooded and rising to the summit of Black Mountain, it is a popular spot for hikers and dog walkers alike. A standing stone circle in a mossy grove attracts visitors of an archaeological bent, despite dating not from Neolithic times but to the early 19th century when it was erected as a curiosity by the forest's former owner Lord Clermont.
