Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has coolly played off any rumours that he is set to extend his contract on the south coast.
With it having emerged in the last few days that former favourite Xabi Alonso is set to stay in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen beyond this season, the rumour mill is again in full swing with De Zerbi's attacking brand of football and keen eye for emerging players just two attractive attributes that FSG could look to consider later this year.
“I need to speak to Tony Bloom about the plan for the club in order to decide my future, I want to know what is the project. I want to keep my ambition”. Having crashed out of the competition against Roma just a few short weeks ago, Brighton still have tough tests against Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all to come before the end of the season, with the onus on building on what has been another strong campaign overall.
