Robson Green has been a mainstay on TV screens for three decades since landing a role as hospital porter Jimmy Powell in Casualty in 1989 - the actor recently turned 60

Robson Green has confessed to feeling "devastated" when given a brutal one-word description by TV bosses at the start of a recent project.

Despite turning 60 last month, Robson chose not to celebrate, preferring to make "every day special". He revealed that in his younger years, he would look at people in their 60s and question "how are you still alive". He added: "That's what people do when you're 60. I don't want their awe, their pity or the label of being older," reports the Daily Record.

Rather than taking time off to celebrate, Robson is currently busy filming a new drama in Spain alongside The Crown's Jason Watkins.
