"Stuff has been dropped off to us, so that’s one less issue that we had to have," said community center manager Eric Kittles. "They were actually brought to us, so all we had to do was make sure that when community members showed up, we’re able to greet them, meet their needs of how many they may have needed and be able to give them another resource for them to have on this unusual day."The Monroe County Jail was also relying on alternative sources.

"In this specific instance, we’ve been told by the city that showering’s OK, washing’s OK," McGowan said. "You just shouldn’t drink with it, so this is just easy for us."
