The Grammy-winning musician, considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time, died 'peacefully' on Tuesday, his family said
Legendary English rock guitarist Jeff Beck, known for his work with the Yardbirds and the Jeff Beck Group, has died at the age of 78, his family has said.
“No one played guitar like Jeff. Please get a hold of the first two Jeff Beck Group albums and behold greatness. RIP.” Tony Iommi, guitarist for Black Sabbath wrote: “Jeff was such a nice person and an outstanding iconic, genius guitar player — there will never be another Jeff Beck.” “Jeff Beck is the best guitar player on the planet,” Joe Perry, the lead guitarist of Aerosmith, told The New York Times in 2010. “He is head, hands and feet above all the rest of us, with the kind of talent that appears only once every generation or two.”
As news of his death broke, tributes came from many including Kiss frontman Paul Stanley, who described him as “one of the all time guitar masters”.“Jeff Beck, one of the all time guitar masters has died.
