Adams said in her post that she called Rocky River Police Department’s nonemergency number and they were able to collect the cat safely from the busy highway.
ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - Rocky River Animal Control picked up an orange tabby cat along the side of the highway Friday afternoon thanks to a driver who tipped them off.
The male tabby cat wearing a small dog collar was laying on the median of I-90 between Hilliard Road and McKinley Avenue when Alexandra Adams said in a Facebook post that she pulled over to try to help the cat. Adams contacted 19 News following the rescue to share that today was also her 28th birthday. “Instead of just receiving gifts I helped give the gift of life to that cat,” Adams said.
An animal control agent took the cat to the vet and reported he was healthy with no signs of being struck by a vehicle and ‘super friendly.’Rocky River animal control said the male orange tabby was deemed healthy after a visit to the vet.If this cat belongs to you or you are interested in adopting, you can call Rocky River Animal Control at 440-331-1234.
