Rodgers knows the fans will be feeling much better this time around at Parkhead after the goalless draw with St Johnstone before the break. The returning boss believes he will look back on that game as the moment that changed everything as he made reference to his first spell in charge and feeling similar after defeat to Lincoln Red Imps in Gibraltar. The Hoops squad will start to return from the international break today as domestic football returns to take full focus this coming weekend.
“For me, the St Johnstone game will be that. I’m pretty sure I’ll look back at the end of the season and that game crystalised some of the items we needed to be better at, within the game, within the structure, within the mentality, and then we were obviously able to then go on and get a very good result.
'They won’t play in too many more stadiums where the atmosphere will be like that for them, but we showed we could cope. In the first-half we kept the ball really well, we looked dangerous when we had it, going forward, and had a couple of opportunities to score.
