In an interview with TV Insider, "Rogue" co-writer Herron addressed whether a reunion could be in the cards. While the script's "Find me" wasn't intended to be a hint, the line making it into the final episode left the writer hopeful. She also stated that she would be flattered if showrunner Russell T Davies chose to bring back Rogue in the future.
I think me and Briony are just cheeky. We just put in the script, “Find me,” and the Doctor has his ring and we were like, maybe they’ll take it out, but Russell let us keep it in there. So, no. Look, we were excited and we love Rogue, obviously, the character. So if Russell decides to bring Rogue back, that would be extremely flattering.
