The Rolling Stones are among a number of bands and singers to have told Donald Trump not to use their music at campaign rallies.
Donald Trump has been warned he could face legal action if his campaign continues to use songs by the Rolling Stones.
The band's lawyers are working with performing rights organisation BMI to stop the US president from using any of their songs at campaign events. The Rolling Stones have sent cease and desist directives to President Trump as far back as his 2016 campaign but his use of You Can't Always Get What You Want at the recent rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, pushed them - through the BMI - to threaten legal consequences if he persists.
"BMI has received such an objection and sent a letter notifying the Trump campaign that the Rolling Stones' works have been removed from the campaign license, and advising the campaign that any future use of these musical compositions will be in breach of its license agreement with BMI."
