The House of Representatives and Malacañang have collaborated to provide 100 “Libreng-Sakay” buses to aid commuters in Metro Manila affected by the transport strike, Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez said.
“Cognizant of their difficult situation, we have taken this joint initiative with Malacañang to ensure stranded commuters will have available rides to their work or home,” he added.He claimed that the first forty-six buses dispatched by the MMDA to service various routes in the metropolis between 8:35 am and 11:01 am, on Monday served 1,380 people.
