Rory McIlroy had an extra special playing partner today at the K Club in Co Kildare as he prepares for the Irish Open, which gets underway on Thursday morning.Young Michael has long been an admirer of the Holywood ace and has dreamed about playing with McIlroy for years.

The charity reached out to McIlroy to send a special message to the little boy, along with another message from Jordan Speith.
With typical class, McIlroy greeted the youngster on the ninth green, handed him a special putter of his own and helped show him the ropes on the K Club green.
