Two fire engines from Rawtenstall and Bacup attended the crash on Burnley Road East
A person was cut free from a car and treated by air ambulance paramedics following a crash in Rossendale.
Emergency services were called to Burnley Road East at around 1.50pm yesterday following reports of a collision. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service sent two crews from Rawtenstall and Bacup to the scene. Firefighters removed the roof of the vehicle to free the trapped casualty. They then received care from air ambulance paramedics and North West Ambulance Service.No details have been relased about the severity of the injuries or the number of vehicles involved. NWAS and police have been contacted for comment.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Two fire engines from Rawtenstall and Bacup attended a road traffic collision on Burnley Road East in Rossendale. Firefighters carried out a roof removal using Homatro cutting equipment to assist one casualty who received care from air ambulance paramedics and North West Ambulance Service.
