Brilliant legacy
A rotary club held an event to celebrate its 98th birthday and members were awarded with certificates to acknowledge their dedication to the group.
Other honoured guests included MP for Hyndburn and Haslingden, Sara Britcliffe and Rotary District Governor for Cumbria and Lancashire, Kath Bromilow. Ms Britcliffe wrote on her Facebook: “I had the pleasure of attending the Accrington Rotary’s 98th birthday celebration at Accrington Stanley last week, and it was a great event.“It’s amazing to see how much positive impact the Rotary has had in our community over the years.
Long service certificates were presented to members to acknowledge their many years of service to the community, at home and abroad. Geoff Tattersall was delighted to be recognised for being a Rotarian for 45 years.
