Donald Trump has appointed his new Homeland Security Secretary with a royal commentator claiming she could cause 'shivers' for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Donald Trump 's potential cabinet appointments for his second administration could spell trouble for Prince Harry 's US residency, according to a Royal commentator. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has been nominated to head the Department of Homeland Security, which is expected to play a significant role in Trump's operations.

Richard Eden from Daily Mail's diary, speaking on Palace Confidential about the recent changes maintained: "I do expect Harry and Meghan reading the news of Donald Trump appointments with shivers being sent down their spines." He added that the previous Department for Homeland Security had "done them a few favours" after winning a previous case.

The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security demanding the release of the Duke of Sussex's visa documents after he admitted to past drug use in his memoir Spare. They sued the US government to force the department to disclose Harry's visa records to determine if he had lied on his official paperwork, as a history of drug use would typically disqualify an applicant from being granted residence.

Prince Harry's explosive memoir, 'Spare', revealed that he had experimented with "psychedelics" and substances like cocaine. After the Heritage Foundation's legal challenge was dismissed on September 9, with a decision to keep his records sealed, they are now seeking to reverse that decision, reports the Express.

Commentator Richard Eden noted: "It sounds like she is a 'no-nonsense figure' from what I read, so you may find she is less sympathetic than her predecessor."
