Royal insiders have a curt six-word reaction to any mention of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to claims. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not a common topic among the Royals, as per Gyles Brandreth, ex-Tory MP and podcaster. When their names do come up, conversations are quickly redirected elsewhere. The context is that after deciding to give up their positions as active members of the Royal Family, Harry and Meghan upped sticks for Montecito, California, in 2020.
When they do, courtiers flinch almost imperceptibly and change the subject or, if that's not possible, refer to them obliquely as 'persons who live overseas'. 'Mention the Sussexes to other members of the Royal family ... and they simply smile briefly and say, 'We wish them all the best' and nothing else.', reports the Mirror .
